Apple insider John Prosser and author of the Front Page Tech YouTube channel, which previously published the design of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max faced accusations of fraud — from artists who had been creating images for him for five years.
Concept artist Shi (@concept_central) wrote a detailed story on X about his and his colleagues’ cooperation with Prosser, noting that problems arise all the time — and the first situation happened back in 2020 with Randy Vasquez. He created a project for an insider, but allegedly could not receive his $1000 for the work for many months; in the end, Prosser paid the contractor $400, and the balance was only «knocked out» after a video about the bad experience was posted on YouTube.
In another example, a new concept artist, Prosser Usher, is mentioned, who complained to colleagues that he could not receive his payment for three months. After a while, an insider sent a third of the promised money, and then for some reason gave Usher an iPhone 16 Pro, which he planned to buy himself — probably to avoid a scandal.
Shi notes that Prosser currently owes money to at least four artists, including him, while the equipment (which he himself probably received as a gift) was provided in lieu of the debt — not the only case of receiving compensation in this way.
«You may have noticed that in one of John’s latest videos, a new artist has appeared. That’s because he’s cycled through all the artists he’s worked with before. And no, the new artist hasn’t been paid anything yet», — Shea adds, warning young artists against working with Prosser.
Prosser himself did not respond to the post, but Shi included screenshots of his responses in the story.
