Other games shown at the Nintendo Direct
Virtual cartridges and the new Nintendo app
At the Nintendo Direct, we presented upgrade with virtual game cartridges for Switch, which will be available in April. They are designed to make it easy to manage digital copies of games and ensure a smooth transition between console generations. The demo showed how users will be able to connect two consoles, move games between them, and manage their library through a separate page.
An interesting feature is the ability to share purchased games with family members. The game can be «lent» for two weeks, but only to one participant at a time, and the owner will not be able to run it during this period. The changes will not significantly affect the availability of games on your own console, but thanks to the «borrow» function, you can save money. It also opens up the possibility of transferring digital copies from Switch to Switch 2.
Last update — Nintendo Today. The app is available for iOS and Android and will allow users to stay up to date with Nintendo news and announcements. It will include comic book calendars, news, and other thematic content. The app is expected to become a hub for Nintendo fans.
The app may become an important resource for fans with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2who want to stay on top of all events, including potentially exclusive content and announcements.
