The cult game Infinity Blade 2 has left the world of mobile devices and is now available on PC.
If you didn’t have an iPhone or iPad in 2011, you probably didn’t have a chance to play Infinity Blade 2. But times have changed, and an unofficial port is available for download, and it adds new features that were not available on iOS.
As with the first part of Infinity Blade, the port supports keyboard and mouse control. The ability to customize keyboard shortcuts for dodging, blocking attacks, and strikes has also been added. In addition, the PC version has improved graphics, namely clearer textures compared to the original on iOS. Dynamic shadows and lighting effects can be turned on and off in the settings.
In addition to the standard walkthrough, players can use console commands that unlock «God’s abilities». And for easier control, we added the ability to bind commands to keys. Here are some of them:
- toggledebugcamera — allows you to fly freely around the map, disconnecting the camera from the character
- exitbossfight — instantly kills any boss
- setplayergold x — adds gold to the character, the amount should be entered instead of «x»
The port is completely autonomous, and you don’t need to install anything else to run it. You just need to:
- Extract the files to your computer
- Go to the folder «Binaries»
- Run «Infinity Blade Launcher»
If you have a Steam Deck or other touchscreen device, you can play with swipes. But the mouse also works fine — it simulates finger movements, just like on iOS. Infinity Blade was one of the most exciting games on mobile devices but in 2018 Epic Games has decided to stop selling a series of games through the Apple App Store.
