Intel’s annual report to shareholders includes a letter from new general director Lip Bu Tan, in which he outlined his immediate plans and reaffirmed previous commitments.
Mr. Lip-Bu Tan emphasized that the company should determine prioritization of customer needs and listen to feedback. As planned, Intel will continue to cut costs by $10 billion and reduce its workforce by 15%. The company aims to simplify its business model, eliminate unnecessary complexity, and continue to invest in key areas.
Intel plans to expand its customer product line, particularly in the field of AI PCs. Lip-Bu Tan reaffirmed the commitment launch Panther Lake in the second half of this year, followed by Nova Lake in 2026. It is worth noting that he was referring to official launch of Panther Lake, not mass production.

«This strengthens our position as a CPU manufacturer in an emerging market. In the second half of this year, we will further strengthen our position with the launch of Panther Lake, our flagship product on Intel 18A, followed by Nova Lake in 2026», — Intel CEO.
Unfortunately, Lip-Bu Tan did not mention video cards and graphics direction. Since the launch of its first new Battlemage cards, Intel Graphics has not provided any updates.
