Fans of the MCU are known for analyzing any public materials in detail in search of clues about the plots of new movies — this time the upcoming «Avengers: Doomsday» were linked to Robert Downey Jr.’s new hairstyle.
The «Iron Man» star appeared at his 60th birthday celebration with slightly longer and curlier hair — atypical for the actor, as well as for his previous character Tony Stark, so fans assumed that this is how the new look of the main villain of «Doomsday», Doctor Strange, and Downey Jr.’s new role will be. In fact, the rumors were further reinforced by invitations from the event, which quickly leaked to the «Internet» and seemed to show a prototype of the actor’s new look in the upcoming film.

«This is the hairstyle he has in his photos now. People will be scared when it turns out that this is his image from Judgment Day», — writes by Reddit user Overall_Affect_2782. «This is probably a fun little unofficial prototype version of his possible appearance in Avengers: Day of Judgment,” adds another.
Currently, the filming of «Avengers» is underway in London, so such ideas have a decent basis. And given that Marvel is quite diligent in protecting its backstage, what else can loyal fans do?
At the moment, the studio has released only two official statements about the upcoming «Avengers»: the first one is, in fact, the announcement of two films, a new role for Downey Jr and return of the directors of the Russo brothers and the second — a strange five-hour broadcast from presentation of chairs with the names of the rest of the cast in (there is «X-Men», but some key characters mentioned in previous rumors are missing).
The plot is not known for certain, but it is assumed that the new Avengers will confront the X-Men, and somewhere in there will be a trace of Viktor von Doom.
«Avengers: Doomsday» will debut in theaters on May 1, 2026, and «Secret Wars» will be released a year later on May 7.
