Laptops with NVIDIA RTX 5080 and 5090 are available in stores from $2499 and $4299

It seems that NVIDIA has formally fulfilled its promise of launching RTX 50 laptops in the first quarter. In many stores, pre-orders appeared on March 31, but «prices bite».

Website VideoCardz provides many links to pre-orders in global stores that started today. It is dominated by MSI devices, although there are a few Asus and Gigabyte offerings as well.

It seems that the embargo on laptops has been lifted, which is also indirectly confirmed by manufacturers’ social media posts. The laptops are supposedly in the catalog, but according to the website, the release date of some has been postponed by two to four weeks.

Earlier, online observers expressed concern that NVIDIA might delay the release of laptops due to problems with fewer ROPs in video cards. Some laptop manufacturers confirmed that NVIDIA required all devices to be tested before delivery, which may have contributed to the shift in the actual release date to the very end of March.

Back in February, after NVIDIA’s announcement of the release of laptops Since February 25, some stores have started to offer — at even higher prices and without the possibility of ordering. However, the joy of being able to buy a laptop with a new graphics card is somewhat dampened by preliminary tests, according to which the mobile NVIDIA RTX 5090 has almost no advantage over RTX 4090.
