Patch 1.3.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 fixes quest and technical bugs

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has received update 1.3.1, which continues to fix quest locks in various situations and numerous bugs.

We shouldn’t go into detail about the quests because of spoilers. But most of the 15 fixes listed in the official patch notes fix problems with the main quest chain. Probably not everyone has encountered these bugs, but they could significantly spoil the passage.

The technical part of this patch is relatively small. Most of the fixes concern the interface, sound, and the location of non-player characters.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented NPCs from returning to their assigned locations after being ejected.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the sound effect when entering a Ribs anomaly to loop and repeat every 10 seconds.
  • Fixed a bug when the crosshairs could not be disabled through the settings.
  • Fixed an issue where all item transfer actions were delayed in any container at the STC «Malachite» location.
  • The positioning of the voice acting has been improved. Fixed an issue where the player could hear the sound through only one headphone.
  • Fixed a bug where the item highlighting did not move to the next item when inspecting the inventory with a gamepad.
  • Fixed dozens of EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors and other crashes.

The developers traditionally thank you for your support and encourage you to report S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl bugs in Steam and social media.
